Domaine Leflaive - Puligny Montrachet

1969

A small, very concentrated harvest, with well-balanced wines and good ageing potential.

Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles

°415 - Octobre 1997 [Plaisir de la cave][Vertical] Grands bourgognes blancs Bernard Burtschy Puligny Montrachet Les Pucelles Premier Cru 1969 Since the Chevalier hadn't yet recovered, its neighbour was tasted. Straw colour. The nose, not very intense but complex, hinted at hazelnuts. The attack appeared to be well structured, the mid-palate a bit corky, though not possible to attribute this to the bottle. This wine seems a bit tired, but holding on with its lovely acidity. Appears to be past its peak.
